Keyboardist and instructor Emily Peplin has taught piano lessons in private  and music schools, from Waunakee to Waukesha, since 2003. She is an instructor with The Waukesha County Conservatory of Music, and an accompanist for First Congregational Church in Fort Atkinson. She plays weekly at Hi-Way Harry’s in Johnson Creek.

Emily attended UW-Parkside for Piano Performance, studying under Dr. James and Susan McKeever, both of whom studied with noted pedagogue Olga Kovalevsky Conus. She is currently pursuing the Licentiate Diploma (LRCM) in Piano with The Royal Conservatory of Music.

Emily’s passion for education and music converged with the opportunity to open a teaching location in downtown Fort Atkinson, allowing her to give students the same opening into the arts, and to experience the social onboarding between the study of music and many other fields of continued learning.

Alongside advances made in the digital world of pedagogy, Emily hopes to help shape the future of music and piano lessons, teaching to students the many connections music has to technology and soft skills development, in creating the vision for The Piano School of Fort Atkinson — to “express the art of your heart.”
