Emily Peplin - Piano
Keyboardist and instructor Emily Peplin has taught piano lessons in private and music schools, from Waunakee to Waukesha, since 2003. She is an instructor with The Waukesha County Conservatory of Music, and an accompanist for First Congregational Church in Fort Atkinson. She plays weekly at Hi-Way Harry’s in Johnson Creek.
Emily attended UW-Parkside for Piano Performance, studying under Dr. James and Susan McKeever, both of whom studied with noted pedagogue Olga Kovalevsky Conus. She is currently pursuing the Licentiate Diploma (LRCM) in Piano with The Royal Conservatory of Music.
Emily’s passion for education and music converged with the opportunity to open a teaching location in downtown Fort Atkinson, allowing her to give students the same opening into the arts, and to experience the social onboarding between the study of music and many other fields of continued learning.
Alongside advances made in the digital world of pedagogy, Emily hopes to help shape the future of music and piano lessons, teaching to students the many connections music has to technology and soft skills development, in creating the vision for The Piano School of Fort Atkinson — to “express the art of your heart.”
Anthony Vincent - Guitar
Anthony Vincent is a guitarist and instructor whose musical journey began at age ten as a piano student in Racine, Wisconsin. After four years of performances and music theory studies, he transitioned to guitar—a shift that would define his lifelong passion for music.
Since 2000, Anthony has taught guitar and bass both privately and through music stores in North Carolina, California, and his home state of Wisconsin. Over the past 25 years, he has performed with a variety of jazz groups and rock bands, bringing a wealth of real-world experience to his teaching.
From 2003 to 2007, Anthony served in the Marine Corps, an experience that led to a collaboration with North Carolina–based Port City Amplification. Through this partnership, he connected with international artists, represented the company at trade shows, and deepened his understanding of professional musicianship and equipment. He has also led clinics on guitar and amplifier techniques at Guitar Center locations in California.
In his teaching, Anthony encourages students to set their own goals and learn at their own pace, emphasizing performance, technique, and a strong theoretical foundation. Music has been Anthony’s lifelong passion, and nothing brings him greater joy than sharing that enthusiasm and knowledge with others.
